Come to one or all of the many events hosted in Squaw Valley for Merry Days and Holly Nights. This event offers everything from the Tahoe Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Handel’s Messiah to sleigh rides and ice sculpture gardens in the Olympic Village. 

Ski with Santa at Diamond Peak, Homewood, and Squaw Valley:

That’s right–Santa likes skiing too! He’ll be making an appearance at a number of Tahoe ski resorts, and this is your opportunity to hit the slopes with Santa Claus!

New Year’s Eve in North Lake Tahoe:

Watch fireworks at Mt. Rose, The Village at Squaw Valley, or Northstar to ring in the New Year:

Ring in the New Year in style with fireworks shows using the backdrop of some of your favorite ski resorts.

New Year’s Eve Snowshoe Tour at Tahoe Donner:

A great activity for families or for couples, the Snowshoe Tour starts at 4PM and ends at 6PM with hot chili and drinks at the Trailside Bar. This is your opportunity to enjoy a guided sunset snowshoe experience in the Sierras, and is the perfect way to end 2016.

Your favorite venue in Lake Tahoe is sure to be featuring live music on New Year’s Eve, whether it be a favorite local band or a bigger name for a NYE bash. The Crystal Bay Casino is located just a short drive from The Franciscan, and will be featuring The Mississippi Allstars for their New Year’s Eve party.

Homewood views

Hit the slopes one last time before 2017 at Homewood:

Enjoy drinks, live music, s’mores, and more at Homewood, located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. Take your last run of 2016 with stunning lake views, followed by a champagne toast and a party with fun activities for adults and for kids.
