Sustainability
We are committed to preserving and protecting the natural splendor that makes the Lake Tahoe region so special. Our sustainability practices include the following:
Eco-friendly Kitchenettes: Our fully-equipped kitchenettes include washable utensils and dinnerware to reduce the need for disposable paper and plastic items.
Linen Reuse Program: We change sheets and towels every three days per guest stay unless otherwise requested, helping to conserve water and reduce energy consumption.
Waste Management: Conveniently located trash and recycling bins are provided at our private beach and pier to ensure waste stays out of Lake Tahoe and is properly disposed of.
Reusable Water Bottles: We encourage guests to bring reusable water bottles to enjoy the clear and clean Tahoe tap water, reducing the need for single-use plastics.
Proximity to Amenities: The Franciscan Lakeside Lodge is conveniently located near local shopping and dining. Plus free public transportation, including the Tahoe Area Regional Transporation (TART) bus service route and TART Connect local micro transit, reducing the need for driving and promoting walking and cycling.
Green Activities: We promote environmentally friendly activities such as bike riding, walking, and kayaking, with equipment rentals conveniently available nearby.
Sustainable Policies: Our policies include green practices such as recycling, purchasing local products when possible, and using environmentally safe cleaning products.
These practices reflect our commitment to protecting the beautiful, natural environment of Lake Tahoe and promoting sustainability among our guests.
